I wonder what happened to a thing called friendship
Where strangers met through a twist of fate
And acquaintances got to know each other
Thus the first sprout appeared
I think though what happened to a warmth named friendship
When friends talked away the night
And good ones experienced miracles
Then the shoot pushed to be taller
I dream what happened to a way addressed friendship
How close buddies learned about dreaming together
And reaching forever
So the stem becomes firmer
I ponder what happened to a concept termed friendship
What was hard to get out
Seemed natural with a bestie
Hence branches shout towards the sky
I puzzle over what happened to a subject titled friendship
Who showed you that believing isn’t hard
And earned the trust you thought didn’t exist
Therefore leaves start growing lusciously
I marvel what happened to a phenomenon designated friendship
Which time of the day when you didn’t think of your friend
Seemed long enough to kill
Thereupon flowers bloom ever so beautifully
Upon thus first kiss
I contemplate what happened to a matter labeled friendship
When you thought nothing will ever go wrong
And lost yourself in blind bliss
Consequently the structure seems so strong
I deliberate what happened to a magic declared friendship
Where the other half was both your love and best friend
Just had to let you down
Causing petals to fall
I cry about what happened to a love dubbed friendship
Who made you see hope
And took away your faith
Leading to drifting autumn leaves
I muse what happened to a tranquility proclaimed friendship
How things can change over night
Just by a word, an action, a misunderstanding
Leaving it barren
I mull over what happened to a laughter styled friendship
What was going to get you through
Is now gone and walking away
Ending all even as the trunk disappears
This is The Tree of Friendship
